From Marblehead Alliance for Democracy:
On Flag Day Saturday June 14th, stand with us on the sidewalk at the corner of Maple Street and Lafayette Street (Route 114) in Marblehead from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., for “No Kings- No Time to Celebrate” —a nonpartisan, peaceful stand out to stand up in defense of American democracy.
This is no time to celebrate. America is in a Constitutional crisis.
The colors of the American flag have been described as “Red for courage and readiness to sacrifice; white for pure intentions and high ideals; and blue for vigilance and justice.” Our Veterans have fought and died to defend our flag and our values and we should not betray their sacrifice. On this Flag Day in 2025, we call on those same qualities of American spirit- courage and sacrifice, vigilance and justice- as we defend the pillars of democracy. We refuse to celebrate when America is in a Constitutional crisis.
Come to this peaceful demonstration. Bring your signs, your friends, your determination—and your belief that the United States was never meant to have kings. Join us!
